The photojournalism in the informative processes of the red chronicle. Analysis of the case the newspaper "La Marea"

Abstract
The current research paper assumed the purpose of studying photojournalism as an essential part of the informational processes of the Red Chronicle. For this we decided to analyze the case of the media written La Marea newspaper, whose facilities are located in the city of Portoviejo. The objectives of this manuscript were as follows; to identify the causes and effects of the use of journalistic photographs in the red chronicle section of the newspaper La Marea. In addition, the visual codes and the compliance with the Organic Law of Communication were reviewed by the media. As for the methodology used in the investigation was of quantitative type, in which the methods were applied: Inductive and Descriptive Statistics. Based on this, we obtained the results that demonstrate the existence of several shortcomings in what concerns to an appropriate use of the photographic material that diffuses in the section of red chronicle of the newspaper La Marea.
