Author Guidelines
*Razón y Palabra, the first digital journal in Ibero-America specializing in Communicology, is a non-profit project: *it does not pay authors, nor does it charge for article processing costs or for publication.

Main file: Original text, conforming to the structure of the guidelines. This file is the one sent for expert evaluation. The text should be titled with "Monothematic" or "Varia" followed by the submission date (full year, month, and day with two digits, separated by hyphens). Example: Monothematic-2016-05-13.
Identification file: Additionally, an identification sheet for the work should be attached, with all the data used for the presentation of the text (author's name, institutional affiliation, brief biography). The same document should contain the responsible declaration of authorship and originality, as well as, optionally, the justification for choosing the journal, and the work's contributions. For titling, this should be named: "Identification", surname of the first author, and their city of origin, separated by hyphens. Example: Identification-Hidalgo-Quito. Ethical norm and conduct: Razón y Palabra as a scientific dissemination journal adheres to the ethical code of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), addressed to editors, reviewers, and authors.
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- Whenever possible, URLs are provided for referrals.
- All submissions are peer-reviewed by the journal, instructions should be followed to ensure anonymous evaluation.
- The author (s) is / are clear about the journal's Code of Ethics. COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)
- The submission has not been previously published or has been submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the editor).
- Letter of originality and identification of the authors is attached
- The submission has NOT been previously PUBLISHED or submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor).

The author(s) retain intellectual property rights and the copyright to the works, under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license, which allows copying, use, distribution, transmission and public display, provided that:
- The authorship and the original source of publication (journal, publisher, and URL of the work) are properly cited.
- The material is not used for commercial purposes.
- The existence and specifications of this license are mentioned.
Each article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
Authors are allowed and encouraged to disseminate their work electronically (for example, in institutional repositories or on their own websites) before and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchanges and earlier and greater citation of the published works (see The Effect of Open Access).
