Abstract

Nowadays, higher vocational education has an impact on the development of education in countries. Online learning technologies are becoming increasingly popular in the non-formal, university and complementary education sector. Blended learning has become increasingly common in different fields of knowledge, taking advantage of new technologies and potentially increasing the efficiency and flexibility of teaching. The aim of this study is to identify the scientific production on blended learning and vocational training at a global level in the SCOPUS database. For this purpose, a total of 154 papers published between 2005 and 2021, retrieved from the SCOPUS database, were identified. The results present the analysis of bibliometric indicators of production, visibility, impact and collaboration. A gradual and exponential growth was identified, most of them being of the "Conferences and Proceedings" type, the predominant language being English. The most cited documents were mostly in the health area. The key terms with the highest number of occurrences within the 154 documents were: blended learning, vocational education, teaching, e-learning, education, human, humans, students, vocational training and procedures.
